Panerai released an amazing clock at SIHH 2010 named the Jupiterium. The Clock is based on Galileo’s interpretation of the Solar System, and was unveiled at the Nobel Museum in Stockholm. The Clock shows the position of the Moon, Sun, Jupiter and the Stars as viewed from Earth. There are Three of these clocks in existence.

The clock has a 40 day power reserve, and has the time mounted on the wooden base. The ironic thing about it I suppose is that the Earth appears in the centre of the clock, when Galileo was in fact the first person to suggest that the Earth was NOT the center of the solar system. This clock conveys their relationship rather than the position of the different celestial bodies.

With SIHH starting, there are tons of new models introduced. Some of the most notable in my opinion are the offerings from Cartier’s new Manufacture In-House movement department. They have some new models out including the Cartier Caliber and The Cartier Rontondo Astro.

The Cartier Caliber Collection. Beautiful watches from Cartier with does a fine job of combining the signature Cartier look with new and modern looking cases and dials. 42mm and available in steel and gold.

The Cartier Caliber 1904PSMC. Cartier’s first completely in-house designed Automatic Movement.
27 Jewels
28,800bph
48 hours power reserve

Cartier Rotonde Astro Tourbillon. In-house caliber 9451MC manual winding movement with Tourbillon complication.

Some very nice pieces from Cartier for sure. Also a really neat looking piece that will obviously cost two arms and six legs from Panerai..

Panerai Radiomir Tourbillon GMT Ceramique PAM348 with the in-house Panerai P.2005/S movement.

Another Panerai is the Mare Nostrum Re-Issue in a HUGE 52mm Size. Very cool looking:

Keep your eyes peeled for more new models from SIHH 2010!

I’ve been working dilligently at finally releasing a better more complete Panerai Millesimation than is currently available anywhere. This is quite labourious as information is not easily found anywhere. If you have some ANY info on L Series Millesimations, please comment or email me with the info. I would be very grateful for the information. I promise to you guys that I will try and keep the most up-to-date and complete Panerai Millesimation out there.

Check out the new Panerai Millesimation Database.

I have a few more updates to make before I push the new database live, as there have been some more updates than what is currently there as well.

Hey guys, Finally posted my PAM250 video on Youtube.. Hope you guys enjoy it. Its a nice PAM, with a somewhat more modern look due to the all brushed look with the tachymetre on the bezel. Its on a Sandave Crocodile strap, which is a nice look, though not for everyone. Hope you enjoy the video!

A little video I shot on Aftermarket Panerai Straps. I do a quick review of several of these straps, and talk about the different kinds available on the market. Aftermarket Panerai straps are a world of fun, and can be purchased second-hand or new. They are easy to sell and a great way to get some variety without breaking the bank, especially in these times.

Sure Do. Well, compared to Breitlings at least. I’ve heard some people say that Breitlings wear small for their case size because their bezels are smaller than the cases. But the Panerai Luminor with the Device Protecting the Crown definately has a bit more presence to it. I would say it wears somewhere between a Chronomat Evo or Steelfish and the big Breitling for Bentley Motors. It probably has a 45-46mm size presence for a 44mm watch.

Here are some pics of a couple of Panny’s with a couple of Breitlings so you can get an idea for yourself!
