The Aerospace gets the Black Titanium treatment in this new 300-piece ultra-limited edition dubbed the Aerospace Evo Night Mission. I am really liking these little short-run limited editions from Breitling. No more 2000-piece limited, but rather small boutique style limited editions. Makes it feel that much more exclusive. This yellow and black combo is very “Breitling” looking and I think its a nice piece, especially on the canvas strap.. has a bad-ass ruggedness to it that is very appealing.

The Aerospace multifunction electronic chronograph adopts a non-glare stealth look in a new black satin-brushed titanium version. To mark the 30th anniversary of this grand classic among pilot’s instruments, Breitling is also offering a 300-piece limited edition with an exclusive yellow dial.

The super-practical and robust SuperOcean M2000 toolwatch from Breitling gets a new small-batch limited edition in Blacksteel of only 250 pieces with the SuperOcean M2000 Blacksteel! This is a nice little rare gem that you won’t see on anyone else’s wrist. The claim to fame for this watch is the 2000m water resistance which allowing fully functional use of the chronograph pushers. This tech was carried over from the original Avenger Seawolf Chronograph which allowed use of the pushers down to 1000m.

From Breitling:

Dark (k)night of the oceans
The world’s only chronograph to be water-resistant and fully functional at a depth of 2,000 meters (6,600 ft), the Superocean Chronograph M2000 plunges into the abyss in an entirely black-clad limited series sporting a powerful technical look entirely on a par with its performance.

As well as mastering the skies, Breitling has also played a premier role in the conquest of great depths by developing outstanding instruments for diving professionals. Witness the Superocean Chronograph M2000 equipped with an exclusive magnetic pushpiece system. This patented device enables the chronograph controls to be handled via the metal of the case, making this model the world’s only chronograph to be water-resistant and entirely functional to the fabulous depth of 2,000 meters (6,600 ft), without any risk of water seeping in. Already available in a polished steel version, the Superocean Chronograph M2000 now appears in a 250-piece limited series featuring a satin-brushed steel case with a black color achieved by a high-resistance carbon-based treatment. The matching dial ensures optimal readability with oversized hands and hour-markers accentuated by a luminescent coating. The black rubber-molded unidirectional ratcheted rotating bezel guarantees an excellent grip. The sturdy case, equipped with a built-in decompression valve to vent helium, is fitted with a 4 mm thick glareproofed sapphire crystal. The SuperQuartz™ movement, chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) ensures a degree of precision ten times higher than that of ordinary quartz. The Superocean Chronograph M2000 Blacksteel is equipped with an exclusive white-edged black leather strap. A true champion shining in the utter darkness of the ocean depths.

A rare review of a ladies watch – but this is such a stunner, I had to review it! This is the model WB520005, featuring a beautiful 18k pink gold ellipse case, first introduced by Louis Cartier in 1906. This beautifully crafted piece is the largest of the Baignoire line, featuring a case measuring 44mm x 34.07mm and is 10.05mm thick. It is a statement piece from Cartier, with many little features and highlights that I’ll talk about.

First a frontal shot to really appreciate the watch and the presence it carries. Two rows of brilliant cut diamonds, totaling 149 and a reverse set brilliant-cut diamond in the crown with a total carat weight of 1.44. The dial is silver flinque-engraved, and features Cartier’s signature roman numerals.

The reverse-set diamond in the crown is truly a thing of beauty, and a very unique feature from Cartier that really sets the watch off. It may be one of my favourite features of this watch! A nice change of pace from the usual sapphire cabochon. The sides of the case are polished 18k pink gold.

The mechanical manual winding caliber 430 MC is in-house designed and looks fantastic through the sapphire see-through caseback. It is signed and features the Cartier logo monogram on the bridges. Its rare to see a ladies watch with a mechanical movement these days, with most electing to have quartz so this is a nice little bonus.

The 18k Pink Gold deployant clasp a precision crafted thing of beauty! It requires folding of the strap for installation and will not take most aftermarket straps. I also purchased a fuchsia crocodile strap for this watch and it costed about $300. It is not as easy to user-replace as others from Cartier, but it is doable.

Lastly a beauty shot, which unfortunately came out a little fuzzy. Still a heck of a looker that any woman would be proud to wear on her wrist! This might be one of the most beautiful, yet slightly understated (if it weren’t for the diamonds) luxury ladies watches out there. The long case allows it to stretch across the wrist, and really shows it off, while still being comfortable and relatively light and wearable.

Breitling continues down the path of offering more Blacksteel, “miliary” inspired watches with the new Breitling Chronospace Military, but adding a Black Steel mesh bracelet this time which is nice. Now that blacksteel isn’t just available on extremely limited edition watches, earlier buyers may be getting more and more peeved that their limited editions aren’t as special anymore – I know I would be. However, this is a suitable addition to the Breitling line, though not really one that piques my interest too much.

Technology and power
A perfect example of Breitling instruments for professionals, the Chronospace Military electronic multifunction pilot’s chronograph combines a black steel case achieved by a carbon-based treatment with an extremely rugged military-type fabric strap – making it the ideal companion on every mission and in the most extreme conditions.

The bidirectional rotating bezel with compass scale features a highly original star-shaped bezel design facilitating handling even with gloves. This model’s exceptional performances are powered by a SuperQuartz™ chronograph caliber ten times more accurate than ordinary quartz and chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute). The dial with its luminescent numerals and hour-markers and oversized hands guarantees optimal readability. Its two NVG-compatible backlit screens clearly display the many functions useful to pilots, including a 1/100th of a second chronograph with split times, alarm, countdown timer, dual timezone display with independent alarm and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). In addition to the anthracite or khaki-colored high-tech fabric strap, the Chronospace Military is also issued with a sturdy and comfortable black steel mesh bracelet.

Breitling has returned to its roots and released a new watch, the Breitling Galactic 44. There’s nothing “galactic” about this watch at all as far as I’m concerned, and that’s a GOOD thing! Right on Breitling! Bringing back one of my favourite Breitlings of all time with a revamped 44mm Breitling Headwind. They stuck to their classic bezel style, with the smoother Galactic style rider tabs, but the tried and true familiar bezel markers of the original Headwind.

The uber-sporty watch

The Galactic collection by Breitling welcomes a new large-sized model featuring a 44 mm diameter and a satin-brushed bezel with rubber-inlaid hour-markers. Exactly what it takes to reinforce its ultra-sporty, technical look.

In 130 years, Breitling has asserted itself as the specialist of chronographs and instruments for professionals. But this expertise also enables it to create watches reflecting the same performance-oriented spirit, such as the Galactic. This uber-sporty, versatile and sophisticated model is intended for all those whose activities do not necessarily require chronograph functions, but who are nonetheless looking for a watch that is at once sturdy, accurate and reliable. After a 41 mm selfwinding version and two 36 and 32 mm ladies’ models, the collection is now enriched with a new large-sized watch. In adopting a 44 mm diameter, the Galactic has strengthened its technical and masculine appeal. The unidirectional rotating bezel takes on a satin-brushed finish along with black rubber-inlaid hour-markers, while the dial features two apertures for the day and date at 12 and 3 o’clock respectively, along with a compass scale and a graduated scale with 1/100th of an hour divisions on the inner bezel. The large hands and hour-markers enhanced with a luminescent coating guarantee excellent readability, reinforced by the sapphire crystal glareproofed on both sides. The polished steel case is water-resistant to 200 m/660 ft and equipped with a screw-lock crown protected by reinforcements. It houses a selfwinding movement chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute), the highest benchmark in terms of reliability and precision. The new Galactic 44 is available with a black, blue or silver dial, fitted with a choice of steel bracelet or a strap in leather, crocodile leather, rubber or military-type fabric. An uber-sporty watch for fans of performance.
