Breitling

I’ve posted the Breitling Aerospace Avantage video review, sorry its not in high-res, but it’ll have to do. The Aerospace is a pretty cool ultra-light multifunction watch that is great for travel or anything where you don’t want a big honking Super Avenger style watch sitting on your wrist. SuperQuartz accuracy and 42mm diameter make it a very good choice if you are going this route. Enjoy the video!

This is my current favourite Navitimer of choice and the one that finds itself on my wrist the most often these days. Just thought I would share some pics with you. The Montbrillant Datora has a full calendar, but no date realisation in that it does not know which month has how many days. You will still have to adjust the date at the end of short months.

The one I have has a beautiful black dial, and larger 43mm case. The case on the Breitling Montbrillant Datora is slightly larger than the classic Navitimer cases which are 41.5mm. The difference isn’t huge, but it is noticeable, and appreciated in my case.

I put it on a Navitimer Bracelet, which suits the watch well. The lugs are 22mm wide, and the watch actually looks equally good on a crocodile bracelet as well. The Breitling Caliber 21 movement is based on on a Valjoux 7751 which is basically a Valjoux 7750 with additional features.

Overall, a very nice watch and one of my keeper Navitimers for the time being. I enjoy the 43mm size as its not too big, and not too small. Very wearable in almost any situation that I find myself in. I hope you enjoyed the pics!

In many areas of the world, the new 2009 Chronologs are out! Just a reminder to head over to your local AD and pick a copy up, or have your local Breitling distributor send one to you. Last I checked here in Canada they aren’t in yet, but here’s hoping that they will be in the next couple weeks.

There are lots of new models out for this year’s Chronolog, which most of you have already seen since they were released at Baselworld and before. Chrono-matic 49, Breitling for Bentley GMT are a couple that spring to mind.

I’ve posted a new Breitling video review, and this one is of the intricate Breitling Montbrillant Datora. The slightly larger Navitimer has a very complex dial with a full calendar complication. Beautifully executed watch, in a larger 43mm diameter. This is probably one my favourite Navitimers along with the World. Sometimes you want one smaller, but not too small. The Datora really fits the bill.

For those of you that have not owned these watches, or purchased them without the boxes, or just plain wanna see what they look like on video instead of pics, I shot some short videos on the boxes, showing how they come together and stuff.. nothing special.
