I just picked up the Breitling The Book from an Authorized Dealer, and it is a beautifully crafted peice of kit, with some amazing photographs and very nicely made, 336 pages of information and photos of everything that is Breitling starting from the beginning and ending at the present with the creation of the B01 Caliber movement.

I have shot a video of the book with several shots of more pages on the inside, which will give you a better idea if you want to spend the scratch on this beautiful book.

Or at least attempts to. British pop star Lily Allen, famous for her quick wit brazen attitude, advertised that she was selling her brand new Breitling Watch, a new-style Chronomat with white dial and Arabics, for 3200 UK Pounds. She said she paid 4400 Euros for it, but its was too big.

Its a shame, I would have liked to add Lily Allen to our list of Celebrities!

I just got the most peculiar looking clock photos emailed to me in the mail today. A Breitling clock, with a wood box enclosure, and what appears to be an atomic radio-controlled clock. Based on the photos of the back, it is obviously a very old incarnation of the atomic clock, as new movements are quite a bit smaller. The clock does not function properly at the moment, and was asked as to value, which I haven’t a clue. I question it’s authenticity, as it does not look Breitling-like, but who knows what those folks were up to back then.

It is an interesting peice, and while it may not be work fixing, it is certainly intriguing and would be neat to have on the wall.

Breitling is jumping on the iPhone craze as well with the release of an iPhone app that helps located your nearest Breitling dealer, as well as providing tons of photos and specs of their newest Breitling Chronomat B01.

I’ve decided to post a giveaway on Youtube to try and bring some of the Youtube crowd together with the Forum Crowd… given the immaturity of some of the Youtube crowd, some of you might be asking me why I could possibly want to do this. Well, the majority of the users are very cool.. its primarily the younger ones that really have no interest in the watches to begin with that try and stir up trouble.

At any rate, I really wanted to do a youtube contest to see how it would pan out. Its not crazy popular yet, but hopefully it will take off. You need to watch the video and follow all the directions in the video to win!
