The Garinin Watch winder review was very popular amongst the readers of my blog, as everyone is always looking for a good deal on a watch winder… one of the posters on my forum sent me this youtube video he made! Really nice to see what it looks like in video… Enjoy!

I got a single winder – and cannot for the life of me figure out how to attach the watch. The plastic holder that comes out has no way to attach the watch and hold it tight – the watch simply falls off on the first rotation. The photo on your original post shows the rotator out of the housing, but there’s no way I can see to do that – I’m afraid of breaking it. The watchband wrapping around the “pillow” (holder – it has a peg that fits into a hole on the rotator) keeps the peg from going into the hole securely – using a rubber band makes it worse. I’m about to send it back. The “manual” told only how to turn the damn thing on – even I can figure that out – with no help whatsoever on attaching the watch to the watchwinder! Help!

Bill – If you post a pic maybe I can help… otherwise Its very difficult to guess. With what you gave me all I can say is try looking for a way to pull the “pillow” out. Maybe there is a release switch, I’m not sure.. I dont even know the brand.

Oh sorry, it’s a Garinin single winder. Don’t know how to post a picture, but here’s the Amazon site with a picture showing the components. It even says this: “Our “insert-type” adjustable watch mounting system ensures the adequate- mounting of your watch so it will never detach your valuable watch from the winder during its operation which comes with detachable top for large watches.” I thought maybe the mechanism for this one might be the same for the one you describe. Thanks for responding – I appreciate it deeply since today is when I give it to my wife to go with the old Rolex I had refurbished for her.
