How to change a Breitling Strap/Bracelet
Posted by The Breitling Source under Breitling , Watch Tips & Tricks[8] Comments
To some this might seem obvious, but I’ve been asked by several people how this is done, and this is how I change a strap on my Breitlings. This would apply to many if not most watches actually… at least any watch that uses spring bars. Panerai’s and some other watches may have different access to the spring bars or use screws.
Its just a video giving a quick explanation on how to change your straps out for a bracelet and vice versa. Enjoy!

Can you tell me what size fork I need to buy as I am keen to be able to change between a Professional bracelet and a Diver Pro strap at home. My watch is a 2009 Superocean.

I’m not sure what you mean by size of fork? The Bergeon FB-504 comes with one fork that is reversible… just use the end that fits.

That is what I meant by fork size. I was hoping to buy the right tool for the job as fork sizes seem to vary between 0.8mm, 1mm, 3mm and 4mm.
Model numbers are 6767 with letter suffixes and 6111 – not sure if that is because I am looking at UK stockists.

6111 is the one I use, but It has all four fork sizes is what I am saying. Two sides of tool, plus each end can be turned around.
The 6767 is a different tool… less comfortable to use. I think this one only has two fork sizes.
The two larger sizes are supposed to be for straps, and the smaller ones for bracelets.

how do you remove the leather strap though since there is no cutouts to tool in there and get the spring it seems impossible unless you rip the strap

You don’t rip the strap, the strap has natural give to it so you can push it aside.

I don’t know, this just isn’t helping me at all. My watch isn’t acting like this, you make it look so easy but I cannot budge the spring pin at all … it slides back under spring tension but I cannot move the main part of the steel bracelet at all.

Are you using a Bergeon Spring bar tool? Is this a Breitling?
