Hi Richard.

I've always been very wary of scratching my watches. I even walk with my left arm behind my back when going thru doorways. Am I the only one? Anyone?

Anyhoooo, I didn't keep the K24 long enuff to experience any mishaps. And since figuring it would be hard to refinish a PVD coat I've since stuck to Brushed stainless steel. Sorry I can't be of more info on this one...

Cheers,

Norman

Hi Norman,
What's your sense of how scratch resistant the black version is vs the non painted stainless steel version ? Just wondering how it might look in a year or so. Black looks coolest to me but might not when it's scratched! Thanks

Hey Henning!

Cheers for the kind words! What with the recent comments dropping in on this review I'm REALLY missing my K23. Big regrets for selling it. :(

Sorry to hear your strap is broke! The straps, as I recall where really stiff in the beginning. BUT your in luck! I'm am premiering my own Custom Handmade Leather Straps.
http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=167258

I can possibly make you a new strap. Otherwise you could email Ernie Romers from WUS to order a new one.

Let me know! Leave a comment and I'll email you back.

Cheers,

hello norman,

it is true everything is made in china. he he he! anyway yes the local dealer sells the k24 for 1000 dollars. luxury goods in the philippines has 100% tax it goes for jewelry watches cars etc. i spoke to someone from welder a few months ago about bringing in the watch myself but after shipping charges and tax it would come out to about the same price. thanks for the replies bud and keep me posted if you do find out where its made.

peace,

Hey Miguel.

Come to think of it, what isn't made in China these days, eh? LOL! I personally do not know the exact manufacturer of the Welder but I will say that quality is very good. Am I correct in reading that you paid $1000 for the Welder or did you mean the U-Boat? Ernie Romers from WatchUseek.com would give you a far better deal on Welders.

Cheers,

Hi Austin.

Well, in comparison to a Seiko Diver the lume is far from comparison. Even after you blast it under direct light you might get a hour of good lume. It fades rather quickly.

Can anyone tell me what a good price for the Motors would be with a metal strap in £Sterling? I own two breitlings at the moment, a chronograph and a crosswind special edition, lovely watches.
A bit worried about the comments made on the jumping second hand though, can breitling not resolve this?
