Hamilton’s movements are more or less bone stock, but this kind of problem can happen with any Valjoux 7750.

ihave one of these and within 10 months the chronograph malfunctioned. the seconds hand keeps shifting when reset. obviously such things can happen, but i lost some respect for the brand.

This watch was my first “Swiss Automatic” Watch. I have had it for 4 years now. Unbelievable value. Amazing Dependability. Also has some great history and pedigree. 125 years old. First American Watch made for the Railroads. First Company to make a Digital Watch (Yes! Not Casio) Owned by the Swatch Group (same guys who own Omega)

I’ve had the silver dial and the LE Rosegold version. In each case the watch looked and felt like it should cost 3 times what I paid. Excellent bracelets too. Truly under-appreciated watches.

A very well deserved review on a great watch! This model in particular can be accented with a variety of straps and is a substantial piece. The 7750 is a workhorse!
FYI, Hamilton has discontinued this black dialed model, so I’d pick one up if you can!
